Description
Eggs in a goose basket. These eggs were created using the "Drop-Pull" method of Pysanky by artist Sharon Bailey.
Pysanky is an art form, of Ukrainian origins, in which egg shells are repeatedly drawn on with melted wax and then dyed. This step is performed for each color on the egg. Different tools such as a pinhead or a kistka (or kistky) can be used to apply the wax. Eggs of all sizes, shapes and colors can be used in this art form. The emptied shells are very fragile and need to be handled with care.
