Photograph of a Spiral Ginger (Costus comosus), also known as a Red Tower Ginger. Small yellow flowers bloom from between red, pinecone-shaped leaves called bracts. This perennial herb is native to Central and South America, but is also seen areas of the Unites State such as Florida and Hawaii.
