Description

An opossum in the late day along a trail in Nodaway Valley Park, Page County, Iowa. Upon seeing me, this opossum did what opossums typically do when they encounter other creatures - it froze in its tracks, or "played dead" while standing there. As a passed by, it continued to remain as still as could be - except for its head, which slowly turned and followed my movements.
